WANTED: Edison Diamond Disc Phonograph (UK)

Post by kirtley2012 »

Just putting out a few feelers, I'm after an Edison Diamond disc machine, Preferably a C250 in oak but I'm not too fussy, I do also like the S-19, I am in the north east of the UK so it would have to be reasonably close or be able to be transported up.
Does anyone in the UK have one, know of someone with one for sale or even just give me an idea of what it'll cost?
Thanks
Alex

Bishop Auckland near enough for you?

Unfortunately it's a horizontal grand which will take up a lot of floor space, but the price is in it's favour. Good luck smuggling it in without the rest of the family noticing ;) .

Roger and out.

It't not the family to worry about, I doubt I could physically fit it into my room without having to sleep on it! :D, there's only one place it could physically go and that is in front of a large radiator, not ideal, I think that only an upright would work, which is a shame
