Information needed on Indestructible No.1455.

Post by epigramophone »

I recently heard a march entitled "With Trumpet and Drum" played by The Indestructible Band on Indestructible 2 minute cylinder No.1455.

Does anyone know who composed it (the cylinder does not show this information) and whether any other recordings of it exist?

Composed by Alfred F. Weldon: http://www.barnhouse.com/product.php?id ... t+And+Drum

I have it on an Operaphone disc. Here is a performance on a band organ:

Thankyou gentlemen. This inexhaustible pool of knowledge is what the forum is all about.

Sorry Bob, but the cylinder is not mine to sell. I will however make the owner aware of your interest, and if he is willing to part with it I will put you in touch.

Roger.
