Please post any pics in traditional stereoview format, rather than Anaglyph method, as most people don't have blue/red glasses to view them... Again, just my opinion...

For whatever reason, the top image is easier for me to focus on, too. I wonder what role the dominant eye might have for each individual?

The bottom image is my favorite and looks great in 3D. Apparently, eyes vary and we both see things differently. The top image is out of focus to me...

I didn't realize there were two different ways to free-view a stereo picture, there is "cross-eye" and "parallel" viewing. That is probably why one way looks better than the other for different people, you are used to doing one of the two methods. Just to note, all the ones that I posted were "cross-eye" type images. Curt, I am guessing you were trying the parallel viewing method which would explain why it didn't work for you?

Curt, it may be a few days before I can post anything. When I do, perhaps I will post both parallel and Anaglyph formats so that people have options. Every system of viewing has strengths and weaknesses. Anaglyphs can be viewed full-screen without eyestrain, revealing much greater detail; however, natural color is lost. Different strokes for different folks.

P.S. - Anyone that has a 3D television should buy a Fuji W3 while they can. The Fuji can be connected directly to the 3D TV and the clarity and depth viewed in natural color through liquid crystal glasses is mind-blowing.

I've been doing wet plate collodion photograph (tintypes and ambrotypes) for 6 years now. I have a stereo wet plate camera and have made quite a few tintype stereoviews. Here's one that includes a phonograph, my Victor B. (Note that tintypes are mirror images since they are direct positives with the image made right on the metal substrate, with no negative.)

You can get red/blue, red/green, or red/cyan 3D glasses pretty cheap on eBay.

Well... it took me a little while to master but I can finally do the parallel free-viewing method, so now I can appreciate both the reversed and parallel stereo images. It is still easier for me to view the reversed "cross-eye" stereo images though, such as the ones on my original post.

The viewing instructions at the beginning of this thread are for the cross-eye viewing technique. Take note of the stereo image type you are looking at to determine the best viewing technique for that image.
