Silvertones have a little plate to hold the vertical adapter and the jewel styluses. Some of the plates have the stylus holes designated EDISON and Pathé. (My plate just has JEWEL STYLUS by the holes)De Soto Frank wrote:(ahem )...

I'm kind of used to seeing listings for "Edison Victrola", "Brunswick Victrola", "Columbia Victrola", and so-on, but this is the first time I have encountered an "Edison Pathé` " 
(Although I will say that there is more than a passing resemblance between the cabinet of my Pathéphone VII and my former Edison S-19 Diamond Disc player... I wouldn't be surprised if both cabinets were made by the same jobber...)

It's an overpriced Silvertone. The seller sees the plate that says Edison and Pathé. Then they assumes it was made by both Edison, and Pathé. A typical antique dealer with no knowledge of phonographs. Then they come up with some ridiculous, inflated price. My 2 cents worth.

Some sellers see handsome cabinets and just don't realize that the market is not strong for average uprights.
