FOR SALE: Victrola Auto Stop Parts - $18

Post by Dino Bravo »

Here for sale are some victrola auto stop parts. These parts were on a 1913 VV-VI that I had years ago. I had these listed just a couple days ago in which the lot had a round piece that fit a exhibition reproducer. The round piece was sold. I now have for sale what is shown in the photographs. $18 free shipping in the USA. Thank you for looking.

Interesting. I've never seen that brake arrangement before.

This autostop appears to be the "Phonograph Brake" (U.S. Patent No.1,399,187), filed November 15, 1920 and granted December 6, 1921 to Alexander F. Bruhy of Plymouth, Wisconsin. Since Wisconsin was a center for off-brand cabinets and a number of off-brand phonograph brands, I suspect this brake was standard equipment on an obscure make talking machine. :)

It's an interesting design.
