FOR SALE: "His Master's Voice" - SOLD

Post by gramophone78 »

You read the title right. I have decided to sell one of my earliest Canadian Berliner Trade Mark's . This is the second lowest serial number I know of #1407 (early part of 1900). This machine is "all" original. Not too often will you read that. I have added a new white rubber tube on the horn rest as the original had deteriorated completely away. This machine comes with the very rare "closed faced" reproducer. There are less than 10 known of this reproducer. They were only made for a matter of months out of Johnson's shop. In fact, all the parts (except the wood) were made in the US by Johnson. You will not find a better example of this model.
With the optional all brass horn just like in the HMV painting.
The motor is all original and runs very smooth. The original instruction paper on the bottom is 90% there and I have just covered it with clear plastic. You can remove this without harm.
Please note.....I will also include a 1960's 18" Nipper to complete the HMV.
If you are a serious collector and want to own a pinnacle piece to display in your collection......give me a shout.
The price will not be cheap but fair for what you are getting. I have owned this machine for over 25 years at least.
