Really nice Diamond Disc machine. I've never seen one like it in the "flesh". You inspired me to post a pic of the Victrola 230, after all the DD's are fun to listen to but not so "phonogenic"...

could you post the serial number of that D-25 Jacobean? I also have one these rare, seldom seen Edison DD Phonographs. They were the only ones that had a Cabinet in "Stump Oak". Very very nice indeed. Not very many were sold. My guess it that it was the single spring motor and the lack of a Laboratory Model Designation that contributed to the lack of sales, as it is a very attractive machine.

I cannot say that I have, either, but we all know that basically everyone here knows more about phonographs than I do.

Still—thank you for posting that stunning photograph of it. I’m glad to see that you (collectively) have been able to take advantage of the attachment feature to share very drool-worthy photos so far.

Sometimes ‘not quite as loud’ is a good thing, as some of my former and current neighbors may attest.

I am not near the machine but the I recall the SN is in the mid 600's. There was an article about this model in ITG in 2006 (either April or October).

Guys, I'm really a bit envious of what I see.

My best find was almost a Christmas present. I went antiquing shortly after the holiday and found a Brown's Record File by Globe Wernicke. It isn't particularly photogenic but quite nifty. It was also full of records- a mixed blessing: some nice selections, but I'd have loved an empty cabinet to absorb some of my collection.

I am glad you remembered that article. I was the author. The serial number of my D-25 Jacobean is 820.

Mine find for 2008 is this Edisonic. Whoever had it before me took very good care of it!

I was scanning CL in November of 08 and came across a listing for an Edison Triumph Model B. Called the seller on the telephone and concluded the purchase. Imagine my surprise when I found out that the purchase included both a model C and D reproducer(in the original box), the large Morning Glory Horn(pristine condition), the crane (reproduction), and 80 Gold Moulded records. Selling price was $600. We won't talk about the cost of S & H! Gleemanguy

There a flat top Pooley in that picture that catches my eye...where was this picture taken?
