You are correct, it would be perfect acceptable to start another thread in the Trader section. Jerry

My Fireside is not complete but it's a functioning machine. I bought it on Sunday and this is five days later. I'd estimate the cost for belt material, and refinishing products to be less than $10. I had an extra reproducer and crank. I probably have five hours invested. Jerry

Nicely done Jerry,
I should've bought this when you first listed it, but I don't have any spare parts stockpiled
yet and figured it would've cost too much to get in this condition.
It looks like it didn't take much, did it?

I had a spare crank, reproducer, governor spring and weight and a few other incidental parts. All I had was a spare C reproducer so I'd like to find an H. Jerry

It's looking really nice, Jerry! I'm impressed by the speed of the project. (Heck, I'd spend 5 hours just staring at it...)

Hey Jerry. I have a few spare model H reproducers . I would sell one for $150 or trade you for your model C and $40. Let me know if your interested.

Thanks Rich but I did some trading around with other machines and found an H reproducer. I appreciate the offer. At our OTAPS meeting I also purchased a reproduction Gem/Fireside morning glory horn that was partially painted black. Today I removed the black and painted it an iridescent red that's very close to the maroon Gem color. I will post some photos tomorrow. Jerry

Here are a few photos of the reproduction horn painted with Krylon Stained Glass paint. The translucent paint is very similar to the red Gem color. I painted directly on the bare metal so any imperfections are easily visible. Overall, I'm very pleased with the results. Jerry
