Of course - if it was an empty case then I'd say it was a good reuse.
The QRS Piano Roll Co had a vanity sink built into the case of a VV radio adaptable 215 - sitting next to a grand piano it was a clever piece of work. Inside was the label stating that any radio equipment was not installed by Victor. A second label read "Neither was the sink"
