I saw a pictures with a record being magnified lots of times and the grooves are at utmost finesse. Plastic 3d printing is pretty main stream atm, mostly printing plastic toys. From what I saw, the final product is pretty coarse and rugged. The technology is nowhere near producing this kind of fine printing. Maybe in the future, who knows.
