The website only lists Friday and Saturday with no mention of Sunday...no show on Sunday this year????.

Planning to go on Friday morning. What time is the parking lot sale vs the official show start on Friday?[/quote]
What happens on Friday at 7 am is the doors open for dealers to start setting up. If you purchase a ticket for Friday (which includes free admission on Saturday) you are able to come into the expo area while the dealers are setting up. At least that is the way it was last year. In years past dealers didn't set up indoors on Friday and we just hung out (partied) in the parking lot. Since the event moved we have 2 days indoors. So, I wouldn't get too caught up in the term "parking lot sale", just show up early on Friday for the best selection. Note, dealers are not required to show up on Friday and there are some that only show up Saturday morning for the day. Just a thought. I know last year I bought a wonderful Herzog cylinder cabinet while a dealer was setting up on Saturday. See you all there.

"Parking Lot Sale" is a misnomer and a carryover from previous years. There hasn't been an actual parking lot sale since 4 years ago when it was at the Holiday Inn. It does pay to go both days because some dealers exhibit only on Friday, others only on Saturday. In the 16 years I've done the show, I cannot remember it ever being on a Sunday, but my Alzheimer's may be getting the better of me here.
In case anybody's interested, I intend to bring:
1. Regina Style 11 music box, double comb, with matching disk cabinet
2. Columbia BS coin-op
3. Columbia BC with giant horn & crane
4. Imperial Symphonion 17.5" double-comb music box, fully restored, with base cabinet
5. Mahogany Herzog half-round cylinder cabinet, fully restored, with pegs
After I get done loading that stuff in my SUV, I'll see how much room is left for anything else to bring.

Dang Joe,
We had some good times in the parking lot. Drinking beer and buying off the back of trucks. That is what made it so good. They shouldn't have stopped that?

Ronnie, don't worry, we will still find a way to smuggle some beers in. I agree the parking lot was fun and profitable. This new venue has a nice big room, well lit, and comfortable. Loading/unloading is better than the H.I., but the older we get the less we like change. Maybe someday the promoters will go back ya never know. I'll be wherever they put it, as long as it's in FL. Come on down, the first case is on me, iced and ready to swill.
