Elma is a little hick-town in WA state. The bathroom is an outhouse with an old Sears catalog as toilet paper. Make sure you don't fall in the hole!!  Harvey Kravitz

I'm the high bidder. I put $41.00 just to spice things up a bit.
Harvey, as the great Bugs Bunny used to say -- "Of course you know this means WAR!"

42!-- And random unspecified change!

True bathroom story: When I went to rescue a certain C-19 in the wilds of Connecticut, two years ago today, I, like many among us, had to pee after a longish ride. Feeling as I do that it's bad form to foul a gentleman's bushes outside his house before he is paid for his phonograph, I asked to use the seller's toilet. He graciously assented, though with the condition that "whatever you do in there, you have to do it sitting down". Well, I only have to pee, I thought, but his house, his rules. I did my duty, but it was weird af. Did he have a camera in there, or something? I don't know, but his wife and dog seemed kind of Stephen King to me, too, and I was really glad to hustle that machine up the cellar stairs and bid them a fond farewell. Craigslist + phonographs can lead you into some odd worlds.

OMG I am laughing so hard over those conditions of sale..."Once you hand over the bag of cash,"

Part of number 4,

Once payment is made, you will be expected to remove the phonograph from our premises within one-hundred-and eighty (180) seconds. Any delay, for any reason whatsoever, will cancel the sale, and your money will be forfeited. We will then move on to the next highest bidder.

hahahaha

Does number 6 supersede number 3?
After all....number 3 does say... "do not attempt to engage us in conversation about anything at all".

So when they start to talk to you in the beginning...would you just hand them a paper that states you cannot engage with their questioning or it would end the agreement?

I hope one of you fine folk from here get this wonderful machine. I'm rooting for yas!!

Actually, this is a rare, early machine. This is the early version before the Ultona model. I believe these came out about 1915-16. It's too bad this moron is selling this machine, with these ridiculous requirements. If this sale is more realistic, this would be a machine to get.

Looks to me like he has dealt with wacky phonographs collectors before, and these may be from lessons learned.
