So, I can’t use an original Marconi gold-plated needle to play Marconi records on an original gramophone?
If you're a responsible caretaker of your records, no. You just shouldn't. Some records are too rare/significant to warrant playback on period equipment. Same reason you wouldn't play a 5 inch Berliner disc on a lever wind.
