Hmm. Well, I guess you're outta luck then Brad. :(

If I happen to run across a nice one, I'll be glad to send it out your way.

I've seen several online references to a product called "Flitz metal polish." -- http://www.flitzit.com/shopping.html -- Apparently, it's very popular with gun collectors who want to shine up the nickel plated surfaces on their antique firearms.

Paul Edie also recommends it on his site -- http://www.victor-victrola.com/RESTORAT ... ain%29.htm

:) No worries, it looks great in my livingroom under normal lighting conditions. The flash of the camera tends to highlight imperfections.

I must have missed something, as I am not sure what this is about, so I will check my mailbox everyday until I win the "nice one" lottery :D (Or is there another Brad on the board? There aren't many of out here)

WRT steel wool over a decal. I have always used a very light touch on decals. On one project I was not as gentle and ended up damaging an Edison decal. My advice is to not go over a decal with steel wool at all. Instead, I would use a paper towel or tee-shirt scrap, and still keep a gentle hand.

Yeah, I am also Brad but did not bring up my name for a while so as to limit the
confusion. Maybe I can be Brad II so people don't get us mixed up. :)
