Even then, a styrene or stereo (45-45 degree groove) cut 45 rpm isn't going to last at all.

And an Orthophonic reproducer tracking at it's 160 grams or so of pressure isn't going to help matters.

This whole idea of playing vinyl microgroove records on acoustic machines is one best left at the door, IMO.

I wouldn't try it with any kind of stereo record. And, I'm not talking about tracking at the full weight of the reproducer. That's the purpose of the counterweight. I agree, this is an idea better discussed than actually attempted.
