Yes, an early Vitaphone type soundtrack disc. Some of these are truly one of a kind as they were sent back to the studios accompanied by the films after showing. There is a Vitaphone Facebook group that can probably give you exact information on your disc. A few months back I purchased an MGM disk of Glad Rag Doll musical short with Tom Waring (Waring's Pennsylvanians). There is only one other copy of that disc known and it is in a film library in Australia or New Zealand. If possible get your disk digitally recorded. There is the Vitaphone Project website for info as well. Congrats on your find! James Manker

The runout groove is talking to you, and it is telling you that is is the soundtrack for “Shuberts Unfinished Symphony”, a movie released in 1929. There is no info on IMDB about this, so you may have a real find on your hands!

Thank you
I will try and find out more info.
I appreciate everyone’s comments.
If it’s unusual I would rather that it goes to someone who is into them. As if I keep it it will again be stuck away somewhere where it cannot get broken.

If there is someone near Dallas or East Texas I would love to have mine digitized as well. I do not have a transcription turntable...mine is the soundtrack for the entire short as I understand. I purchased it solely to preserve history as these can be unique and rare. Thank you. James Manker.

It says Pressed by VTMCo but not necessarily recorded by them.

Thanks for sharing! It's some 20 years that I have been yearning to buy a couple of books by Ghirardi, but I never really did due to mailing and duties, as they are nearly impossible to find outside of the States. They look like excellent and at the same time clear books. But in the meanwhile my life in general has worsened horribly, and I can barely still go ahead with the radio rapair.
