Personally I would try a slightly damp cloth with what we call fairy liquid but I believe the U S calls dish soap.
If your dish soap contains soap don't use it. I mean a soapless detergent.
If this doesn't work then probably more intensive cleaning will be needed. But try the least intensive first.

Just a fine point maybe, but "Goop to Clean Wood" is not a good idea, (in my opinion). Goop works well to clean dirty finishes. Meaning, a cabinet that still has a reasonable amount of finish remaining. I would not think of putting Goop on bare wood.
