My thanks as well George. I too was not aware of the embossed rim. It's been my experience those four minute blanks are few and far between.

Steve the cylinder you show in the photos you posted sure appears to have a recording on it. When you blow up the photo you can see the groves.

Yes, that's correct. I haven't listened to it in a long time, but it is definitely a home recording. Unfortunately, I don't currently have a machine to play it on.
