Phono, you can buy wax stick sets and a battery-powered waxing tool in Amazon or similar store. A large set of sticks will make it easier to blend the different hues to match the colour of the machine veneer. Before doing this I always treat the wood by injecting a worm killing product in every hole. Filling the holes with the wax is easy, as it is to remove the excess wax once it sets (the tool set comes with plastic spatulas). The only more involved step is to match colours, it is like mixing paints, but the good part is that you can remelt the wax and try again if the result is not good. Unlike the experience of a friend who must have used the wrong wax. I can't see it being spun out of a single piece of brass, but maybe in sections.
