Beautiful photos. Thank you Rene.
The Circassian walnut thing really looks at you - just frightening!

I don't know which dealer had the circassian walnut Victrola. I should have paid more attention. The A-290 was at the Oliphants' booth.

Do you remember the price range for the Victor VI's based on condition and horn type? Ballpark is fine.....just trying to gauge what's out there......

Hi
I think I will go to this show next year, hope our dollar will still be strong. I will be in the US for most of September around Wyoming and Salt Lake city, are there any collectors around this area? or shows?
Regards Marcel

By the end of Saturday, it was in Rafael Cole's booth (Musical Treasures of Miami), so I assume it was his. He also had a TLP 8-30, but it was horribly over-restored (i.e. with the tooled leather panels
repainted (and incorrectly).

Great pics, Rene. I'm sorry I missed you on Saturday. I wore my 0-size Hamilton to show you!
I did buy a phonograph, somewhat unexpectedly, for a pretty good price. It's an early one (SN 673). It won't be delivered until next week, but I will start a new thread with other "before and after" photos. The finish is a bit dark and finely alligatored, but should clean up nicely!
It's the one on the left:

This year's show was kind of strange. On Friday (dealer/early buyers day) things seemed a bit subdued. I heard several dealers complaining that little was moving; everyone seemed to be sleepy or something. Even though I wasn't selling, and even was finding things to buy, I felt the general lack of enthusiasm. Yet, on Saturday the old energy seemed to have returned.
Despite the supply of Operas, Victor VIs, and Zonophone As mentioned earlier, some machines were noticeably lacking. For instance, there were exactly two Eagle Graphophones at the show. Amazing. There are usually a dozen or more (and this year I was hoping to examine them!).
All in all, I came home from Union with the feeling I always have: I wouldn't want to have missed it!

I had to leave Saturday morning so I missed the end of the show, but I have heard from several people now that sales became quite brisk Saturday and Sunday and a lot of high end machines went to new owners. It was indeed a fun show and I'm very glad I went.
