No damage where I live either, just a tiny bit of water in the basement, which really surprised me, a great deal of the Capital District got hit very badly. My biggest fear was losing power, I would have had knee deep water in a matter of a few hours, I'm very thankful because I could have lost hundreds or even thousands of 78s, even though everything is way above the floor. Just a few hundred feet up the road from my house, there are trees down all over and lots of folks still with no power and the rivers are higher than I've ever seen in my lifetime.
I never thought I'd say the sound of my sump pumps running was like music to my ears, but it sure was.

Whew. That would be bad. You really need a generator.

I lost 3 trees, but they were in the woods away from the house. Also lost power yesterday and they said it would be a few days before it gets restored. I fired up a couple of oil lamps and a lantern last night and sat and listened to the neighbors generator

Bucket flushing for us!
Glad everyone made it OK

Hi Everyone- I am in Greenfield MA. Irene hit us hard not so much wind but flooding. As far as I know there were no lives lost but a lot of damage done. All of the houses in my area have wet basements. I have two sump pumps that go on and off all year. I am very lucky that the power has stayed on if not I would have an indoor pool. I have a Rain Check now for a small electric generator. Whoever has ticked off Mother Nature please apoligse and make up with her.The weather has become to severe everywhere!
I hope you all stay safe and dry.
Best Regards , Earle

Had to evacuate Saturday, so I spent the weekend with family. Got through fine, though: basement's dry, and got power back Tuesday morning -
Deo gratias.
