The auction is even being advertised locally in the "Community Courier"...the local 10-12 page free "newspaper" where you usually read about the Methodist Church's next ham supper...."140+ and museum quality". I'm sure it will attract a good crowd of general antiquarians :P I mean antique collectors.

Has anyone seen this collection in person?
Trying to determine from the pictures if the machines are in below average, average, or very good condition.
The pictures are not great quality and my eyesight is not what it used to be.

Thanks for the pictures. I'd be interested in hearing highlights and prices from the auction. Many thanks.

Well guys, how did the auction go? Were prices pretty much as expected for the times? Above average or were great deals galore to be had to those who were able to attend?

Prices were pretty good with a few exceptions. Most of the common machines went at a fairly good price. I'll try and post some later today, but for now the Schoolhouse went for $6000 and the Opera brought 5400. I tried to write down prices as he went but many of his descriptions were vague.

:D

$6000 for a Schoolhouse? What was so special about it? I thought if you could get around $3500-4000 you would be doing good.
