For those of you interested in a copy of "Puttin' On The Ritz", I do have Leo Reisman's version of the song on the scroll label.

I think it would be great to offer things like a 7" Berliner, 7" Victor, 8" Victor, and maybe a 7" Standard Talking Machine record copy. That way one could display and demonstrate these early machines without having to use an original record. Besides, these are one-sided anyway. Just a thought.

I agree with Andreas completely. I cringe when I see people playing early discs on machines with steel needles.

Another vote for Andreas's idea. Very early discs being played with a steel needle - especially on a front-mount machine - just seems like needless waste. Not everyone is into preservation, but having a replica 7" disc to demonstrate would, if nothing else, make money when it comes time to sell the well-preserved original seven-incher saved through the use of the replica.

I'd even be willing to offer some of mine to be used for copies. I've managed to build up a nice little collection of way above average early 7 inch discs with some very interesting content. Just putting that out there.

Thank you for the great idea Andreas!
I've PM'd a few of you and hopefully we can make this happen!
