I guess I don't get being "offended" when I'm not forced to participate...
Some people unfortunately get their feather ruffled way too easily and walking away just never occurs to them....Curt A wrote:Still trying to figure out what in that post would be considered offensive... I find eBay Crap-O-Phone listings offensive, along with a boatload of other fraudulent listings... Oh, maybe it's Brandine that is offensive or the hokey language or the Indian Crap-O-Phone maker...

Apparently no one told them that if you don't like a thread you don't have to look at it and you can go to another thread!Phonofreak wrote:I don't find this offensive at all. I think it it downright hilarious. If people are offended, then don't read the post. If that's the case, then ban all post with crap-o-phones, monstrosities, and other types of humor. I get sick and tired of PC BS. If that's the case, let the offended person go into their safe place, close the door, sing kum-ba-ya, and look for unicorns and rainbows, and everything will be Ok. Let the Forum be a fun place to learn, trade ideas and some humor. I know I am going to get flak for this, but I don't care. Just my 2 cents worth.

Yes cause ebay is so known for removing fraudulent machines and promptly responding to reports of fakes among it's auctions......alang wrote:If you read Brandon's post again then you will see that your post was taken down because of some of the attached pictures. I am sure it was not because of the Crapophone pictures or the text of the eBay post, but rather because of the non-phonograph related pictures of people. I am quite certain that this was also why eBay took your post down, not because they want to protect Crapophone sellers.
I understand that everyone's humor is different, but the forum represents our hobby and all members to the public, and it is Brandon's right and duty to keep it comfortable for all members. So yes, there has to be some level of political correctness so the forum can survive and thrive. While I did not complain about this post I can understand why people found parts of it offensive and I want to commend Brandon once again for doing a great job, even if it is not always popular with all.
Thanks Brandon!

We were having fun and we were discussing crapophones which is certainly part of the business.melvind wrote:How about we just get back to phonograph and record info and fun. The non-phonograph pictures don't really need to be here and I think we should just get back to business.![]()
