Wow... excellent post! Thank you for taking the time to write it, and for offering to answer any of my noob questions!1926CredenzaOwner wrote:I was very lucky not too long ago, and was able to purchase several unopened packs of Tungs Tone styli. I went through the same thing you are going through, Tinkerbell. Here's what I've found through research and trial-and-error.
Happy listening, Tink! Remember this: We were all "green" at some point. You never stop learning about this hobby. I'm still not "ripe" myself! If you ever have a noob question you think is too dumb to post in a thread, just PM me... and I'll help if I can.

I should not say this.........but,the case was free!!!!.Now,everyone will want one!!!!
.I think you should send a pack to "Tink" IF she takes off the shades but, leave the ears on please......
1926, what is up with that 100.00 money back thing!!!???.It is very funny.
Seriously, the design is very good.I don't care much for this type of needle. However, with the feed coil to keep you going. It is handy to say the least.
A friend (non-Phono collector) found the whole thing you see in the pic and just gave it to me.That was a long time ago now.I have only ever opened one and used it.

I think it sounds about the same as the Victor "tung" needles. What I did like was the "feed" idea.It is really nice and handy. That said,I have always found these needles to be weak sounding.
