It's not always an agreeable practice but that's what some people will do.
If it's something you're interested then I'd suggest in the future to ask questions on the forum without giving the sellers link or contact information, at least until you've decided against a transaction yourself.

It's sad but Bob is correct. We have a new enthusiastic collectors that asked a question.. It is unethical to make a purchase by stealing that lead plain and simple. It's the same unethical thing as making money on insider trading. If that happened here, shame on that person. I hope the other party is not a Forum member.

I agree! When I first became a member of this forum, it was Jerry that recommended I buy a phonograph that I posted a question about. Someone also contacted that seller and tried to buy it out from under me. I was very lucky that the seller was an honorable fellow and followed through on the deal he had made with me.
