I'm surprised it was met with such apathy given how obvious it was that it contained an Expert soundbox worth 2 to 3 times the cost of the portable!

The usual suspects gathered at Graham's yesterday, and the soundbox was tested on a variety of records. It performed very well.
The Rondo portable is now in my workshop and I will be trying various soundboxes on it. After I get home from Malvern next weekend I will give it a thorough clean and a little cosmetic restoration.
Graham got a superb soundbox at a bargain price and I received the gift of a rare portable. Happy days .
