Come on guys, there has to be more than 30 AA's out there in collectors hands. Out of a probable production of 13,000. That's less than .3% accounted for.

There's been a larger percentage of GG's found, 3.8% out of less than 1000 produced.
I know they are small and probably are just lost in your collections, so look around...

As for those 3.8% of GG's found weren't those like $300 originally? I'd think anyone who laid out that type of money might hang on to it now matter what as opposed to an $18 machine?

Thanks for the sleuthing but I had already found those. I looked at every Youtube video I could find with an AA but Mark Caruana's was the only one where the number was readable. I also looked at lot of Google references but ran into the same problem -- quite a few machines, none with visible numbers.

701222 is a curious outlier. It has a 1900 award decal but no other machines between 700895 and 709775 have this decal. I suspect that the mechanism of that early one was swapped into a later case at some point in its history. It seems very unlikely that Columbia would have used a decal on such an early machine, then no others for almost 10,000 numbers.

But the point does remain that with only 30 numbers recorded to date, it's simply not enough to draw clear conclusions.
