Here are some more pics. Sorry, I didn't get many of the prices asked.
I had fun, and found many records and cylinders and the correct needle cup to my 10-35X for five dollars!

Bob, that first pic of yours of the restored TLP 8-30...a lesson in what not to do! :(

Great to see you at the show!

I almost went this year as I hadn't been in years, but its a good thing I didn't. I had just gotten a bit over a hernia repair and ended up in the hospital with a racing heart and now needing a valve replacement. Don't know how that would have gone if I were on my way to Union from my home which is about five hours below there.

As to the prices, yes generally its premium prices which I guess is the reason for those shows. I never could afford things there so I almost always looked and went home. But just seeing the interesting machines is worth the trip if you like phonographs. I wonder too if the market is soft due to the economy. Many records to me appear to be suffering from what must have been a bubble a few years ago where almost no price was too high. Now I see endless pages of them on ebay at low buy it nows and many of the expensive records are just sitting there. I'll never get the money out of most of what I collected the past four or so years in Edison Disc for sure.

Great photos! I wish we had something like this in Australia - at least three of us that I know on this board would attend!

You've got that right :)
Radio swap meets seem to be everywhere, but gramophone/phonograph shows are non-existant. I have seen phono related stuff at radio shows, but usually nothing more than a portable or two & the odd part here & there.

Sorry to hear that Larry. But it's a good thing you were close to home or things might have been far more complicated. The good news is they've progressed in leaps & bounds with valve replacement surgery in recent years, so you shouldn't be out of action for too long.
I wish you all the best with the op, and for a speedy recovery.

That is an excellent observation........I was at the radio show in Charlotte this year and had to park in the grass. ( about 300 spaces ) and our phonograph show in Mooresville only netted about 150 attendees..... We've approached the radio guys about combining forces but they seem to be reluctant to do so.....guess there is more activity (or enthusiasm ) around the radio collectors? Any ideas why ?

In the 6th picture, is that a HMV model? Unusual to see one at an American show.

The TLP Credenza looks like it has a little too much oil on the finish. I thought it was supposed to be a lighter finish. maybe?

It's HMV's lumiere pleated diaphagm model 460. It's rare to see them anywhere in the world these days I think :)
