I actually gave up noting "phonographs in movies" many years ago as I now have a collection of well over 2000 Bluray films, mostly world cinema, vintage black and white and "arthouse" stuff, and to be honest so many of them do have an early machine in them, it's uncanny but I lost count. And no, I did not purposefully choose the film for the appearance of the machines either. It is just a happy coincidence, honestly!
