JerryVan wrote: Thu Dec 15, 2022 11:42 am I have to ask... What does "Grippa" refer to? I understand the "Pixie" reference. Is Grippa one of those words that us Yanks left behind when we crossed the pond? (I sure wish we used "gudgeon pins" here in the U.S.!)
Although not in general usage today, the term "Grip" referred to a small hand held suitcase.
Perophone coined the name "Grippa" and used it on many of their portables, of which the "Pixie Grippa" was the smallest.
Okay. I'm familiar with the word "grip" with respect to a suitcase, I just didn't connect it to Grippa. Thanks!

The £20 start tells us that the seller has not done their research. They may be in for a pleasant surprise.

I agree ................... except it is collect only, which I guess, will surpress the final sale price by up to half.

I have pointed this out to the seller. Good advice is frequently sought, freely given but seldom taken. We shall see.

The listing has been ended prematurely. Someone made them an offer they could not refuse. We will never know how much.

I never knew that the late Barry Williamson of Phonoservice made replica horns for the Pixie Grippa, but here is one :

It went for £100! I could do with one, but not that badly.
