LOL... well, this is actually a pretty valid description.

I love the "display photos"... the record on a stand, the red curtain background.

but, man alive... another example of no research... $1000 FOR A RECORD.. and a HAWAIIAN RECORD AT THAT. :-)

It would be a steal if it weren't for the chips around the center hole. If it weren't for those, I would have jumped on this one already! :D

Well, I rather like "wined up." in fact, I think I'll open a bottle now and go listen to my Credenza!

I see a lot of ads boasting the "big thick heavy records" are worth something around $20 each (as validated by Ebay). The seller thinks the fact that 25 records come with the machine surely means the records alone are worth $500, not to mention the Victrola itself (which has patents that prove it was made in 1901) is worth probably a $1,000. In fact, the package altogether is more fit for the Smithsonian than Craigslist, but you were just so lucky as to stumble across the post. What a great sacrifice he's making, selling a mahogany, water-damaged Victrola XI, this national treasure, for a mere $600. Why, anyone who didn't buy it would be a fool to miss such a one-in-a-lifetime opportunity!

"ive been told this piece is worth $ 1500 bye several dealers"

Obviously the dealers in Richmond do not deal, they just dispense free advice
