Once upon a time I paid much less for my red and blue 102s than the prices they are fetching on eBay these days, 'tis true.

I sold most of my HMV portables on eBay when they started making silly money, but the occasional bargain still turns up.
Last month I bought a blue 102 on eBay for GBP£70, complete with it's detachable record carrier. The seller said that he "could not get it to play a record", which probably accounts for the low price, but when it arrived I could find nothing wrong with it.
