Book

Post by dutchman »

I have a copy of The Edison cylinder Phonographs 1877-1929. The inside cover says Numbered Edition printed in Great Britain Copy 045.

Inside I found a personl letter from one of the authors, Albert F. Sefel, written to a collector friend concerning a visit to view his collection. Mr. Sefel stated in the letter that the majority of the machines in the book are from his personal collection. Interestingly he also stated in the letter that he has a number of patents for medical devices in storage.

What is amusing is that the problem of storage, which keeps popping up here on the forum, apparently got Mr. Sefel as well. He stated in the letter he moved to smaller quarters and most of his machines are now is storage.
