New Addition

Post by ChuckA »

Thought I would show off my newest acquisition and restoration. I picked this up at a local auction about 2 weeks ago. The bedplate and chassis weren't in this nice of condition when I bought it.

It also came with a National Phonograph tagged crank. Now I have to go dig out a cylinder cabinet to put it on then the hard part, finding a place to put the cabinet

I think the aluminum horn adds a little class to the machine.
I will keep it on until I find another all brass seamless 14" horn for it.

Chuck,

That's an awesome find.
Great job on the clean-up!
What did you use on the case and bedplate?

Hello,
What a super looking machine!! It looks just like new. I have always wanted an Edison Spring Motor Phonograph and finally bought one at Union this year. It is my favorite machine in my collection.

Beautiful machine, Chuck! Why don't my local auctions yield stuff like that??

I've never seen the restriction plate attached to a "new style" (non Class M) upper works - very interesting. Could you confirm the serial number? And motor number?

Thanks!

George,

I sent you the information on this machine a couple of weeks ago.

I tend to have 3 or 4 projects going on at the same time, keeps me busy while waiting for some part or outside work to show up.
