School model Edison
We have decided to sell the schoolhouse model Edison that was discovered a few years ago.Perhaps someone has advice as to how to proceed with the sale. Some people want a known/safe auction (ebay), while others want to make an offer and avoid fees. ...What to do????

If your looking for the best price.... sell it on Ebay or sell it using a reputable "Phono" auction house like Stantons. You can Google them.
However, if you wish to offer the machine on our forum.....then you need to place it in our "Yankee Trader" section. Just make sure you post clear and detailed photo's if you do along with a asking price.
Either way there will be fees of some form. On this forum,we do not promote circumventing Ebay's rules by selling your machine on the side while listed. That's up to you.
A question like yours is really a personal choice question. In other words.....do what you feel comfortable with and good luck

Thank you.We have decided to put it on ebay. I think that is the best way to provide protection to everyone and to allow annonymous bidding.
if you are interested it is at
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Edison-School-P ... 3a7ba860dc
I hope that works! thanks

Got 5k for mine at Stanton's yesterday..Was more than happy with that and didn't have to worry about shipping a piece of cast iron possibly halfway around the world. Good luck

Post some pics of yours or make a "Featured Phono". They are a very desireable machine as you know. The one which is the topic of discussion here only went up to ~$4800 but with no. 10 cygnet. Hard to say how it would clean up.Alfies-kid wrote:Got 5k for mine at Stanton's yesterday..Was more than happy with that and didn't have to worry about shipping a piece of cast iron possibly halfway around the world. School machine's are like an Idela they just don't show up very offen. I have a Edison school machine but mine has a 11 panel horn. I also have the base and draws that go with it ( all orignal ). It's nice to see then show up so when I sell mine I'll have something to go buy. Who has it has a mice machine.
