I found this phonograph at auction today just a couple of hours too late. Here is a link to the auction site. Scroll down and you will see the picture I'm talking about.

Does anyone know anything about this phonograph as far as if a fellow collector bought it. Or, can anyone tell anything about what it is from this small picture?
Victor Victrola early VTLA - missed it at the auction today.

I would say you already wrote what the machine is. A mahogany early VTLA. Very dirty and appears to be without turntable. The photo really doesn't show much else. If it was a member on the forum.....maybe we will see it cleaned up???.Chilesave wrote:I found this phonograph at auction today just a couple of hours too late. Here is a link to the auction site. It's a Pooley flat top Victrola. It's the very first model of Victrola that Victor offered, and one of the most desirable machines for collectors.

Do you happen to know what the sale price was? I saw one of those complete and in nice condition bring over $5K at Stanton's last year. If the cabinet is good, it shouldn't be too much of a problem getting needed parts.
