If that's an HMV motor, it's one I've never seen before. I only know of 3 different motors that were used in the 101, and this motor is not one of them.
To me, it appears to have more in common with a Thorens motor, but it might be a motor use in French HMV's or German Electrolas that I'm not familiar with.

It's definately not an HMV motor, but the angled winding socket suggests that it could have come from an Electrola 106 portable.

Has this replaced the original HMV motor? It should be easy to tell, as there will be holes in the motor board where the original was fitted. It would be relatively easy to get another HMV motor, the 101 was one of the most common gramophones ever made, and spares are readily available. If, however, you want a replacement for the pictured motor, then you need to photograph the identifying marks showing the make and model number, if possible. This certainly is not a common motor, and you may have difficulty in sourcing another exactly the same.

The motor is surely the motor of the Telefunken Koffer LIDO Gramophone ... I have not a photo to show you but when I bought one (later sold) I did maintenance and observing the lock mechanism with bolts I conclude that it is the same motor.
