Will there be a Victrola in your home this Christmas?

Post by alang »

Just a reference to the period Victrola Ads. Maybe others can share their setup as well?

Very nice. Is that a recording artist in the framed piece behind and to the left of the Victrola? Jerry B.

It's been a while since there was a Victrola under the tree but do bikes count? Jerry

This is a 1964 Schwinn Tiger that was a Christmas gift to a kid I went to school with years ago. I bought it and gave it to my grandson in 2010.

This is a new old stock 1968 Schwinn Sting-Ray Run-A-Bout that DeeDee bought from a retired bike shop owner.

Thanks Jerry. No, this is an old copperplate print called "Le Puits Qui Parle" (The Well that Speaks). I think it may be even a few decades older than the Victrola.

Very nice your Schwinn bikes. Do you just collect those or are they actually being used?

Merry Xmas

Here is a Victor christmas leaflet from 1927 - unfortunately unfolded it is too big to fit on the scanner in one go!
