Reproducer

Post by rgordon939 »

I need a little help identifying this reproducer. It was on a Columbia Q that I bought. I know it's not correct, but I don't know what machine it is for. Also, it is made of aluminum. See attached pictures. Your help is always appreciated.

Looks like it may be a reproduction, sort of a cross between what Hazelcorn calls a 'Grand' reproducer (center stylus button/no stylus bar) and the body of the 'D-1'. The word 'REPRODUCER' looks a little hinky to me, and originals have the knurled set-screw at 12 o'clock. Since it isn't 100% historically accurate, it's pretty much a universal substitute.
