Best Source for replacement Motor Spring

Post by joybird »

I have a Fireside Motor spring broken in several places. (AMBEROLA B VI) OAK CABINET
Prior owners work !!!!

My question what is the best source for another Spring or Motor ?

Would I do better buying a used working Motor?

A Used Spring?

A NEW Spring ?

All suggestions welcome

Thank you

Ron Sitko has good replacement springs. He's reached by phone: 518-371-8549.
I believe he'll install the spring in the barrel for a modest charge.

I always replace with new springs, and Yes Ron Sitko has a good selection, and quality, APS Co. also has mainsprings too. It has been awhile since I last purcahsed a mainspring, but they run $30-40.00, pretty reasonable, considering a good strong spring makes your machine work well.

I'll give Ron a Call Monday.

I like the idea of having it "Plug and Play" That way I'll keep all fingers.

Thank you for the input.
