What happened to Tim Edwards?

Post by operabass78s »

It's been awhile since I was able to get back into the phono/record hobby and I just noticed that Tim Edwards' site (tim78rpm.com) has vanished from the internet. This may be old news, but I've been out of the loop for a while. Does anybody know what became of him?

See this 2-year-old thread I started with the very same question: http://forum.talkingmachine.info/viewto ... im+edwards

I believe he passed away about 3-4 years ago.

I bought some records from him off a listing on this forum much less than 4 years ago. Could have been 3.

I checked the Internet Archive's "Way Back Machine" and the last capture of his URL was on ⅕/2011. There's no mention of what became of him. If he did pass away I am truly sorry to hear. He was the first person I ever bought 78s from when I first started collecting. I was a customer of his for years.

I had also bought many records from him, also many barely used 12" albums (but all smelling of cigarette smoke!). I used to peruse his auction & set-sale items all the time -- thinking of that brings back all sorts of memories from my earlier, innocent collecting days.
