Heard an interesting story on NPR on the drive in this morning...Seems the writer/singer of the 70/80s band Roxy Music has decided to re-record some of his songs, arranged in the style of 1920s jazz.
The story, and music (both original and new arrangements) can be found at the link below (at least for now).

Re: Roxy Music????
I get NPR over here streaming via internet over an internet radio receiver in the bedroom and actually heard this piece some time back, in bed, half asleep.
Thanks for reminding me. I'm going to get the CD.
You also reminded me it's pledge week. I'll need to do something about that too.

Wow, that was very refreshing!
Even if you never heard of him, what has been re-created is very tasty.
Thanks,
James

Re: Roxy Music????
I saw Bryan Ferry in concert several years ago in a small theatre in Minneapolis, (Walker Art Center). It was great. Still have several Roxy and Ferry albums from the 70s on vinyl.
