I came across this on an a 2008 NPR story.
It's a wonderful conversation revealing a content man.
They have edited the songs he played out of the interview. :(

I have a Moe Asch company NY 78rpm record with some nice blues on it, nicely recorded.

Asch founded Folkways recordings; the entire catalog is now in the Smithsonian (or is it Library of Congress? I used to know this :oops: ). It is a priceless collection of field recordings of folk and traditional music from all over, particularly the U.S.
