I've got a nice Pathé upright phonograph that I'm looking to sell to defray the costs of a couple of things I'm planning to purchase. it's a standard, but nice mahogany floor model with plenty of record storage below the playing area. the finish is clean and original. the motor runs extremely well and the reproducer is in nice shape - it's also the sort that can pivot to play either the standard lateral needle cut records or the vertical cut discs with a saphire (for Pathé) or diamond-tipped needle (for edison). I don't have any extra of those jewel tipped needles to sell with the machine, though. and the only flaw is that the grill is missing, but this is the sort of machine with a really nice wooden internal horn... and these grills are pretty easy to come by. I'd like $275, which I think is very fair. you can pick up the machine in the philadelphia area whenever, or I can bring it to the wayne phonograph show on april 14, 2013.
I'll attach some photos as soon as I can take them over the next few days. but if you're interested, send me a message or email.

there is a grill after all, but I don't believe it's original to this machine. as a whole, it's a clean and versatile phonograph that runs and plays (various types of discs) well, and is in otherwise original and unrestored condition, I've done nothing to it but dust it off a bit. I'm open to any decent offers. thanks.

BrianU,,, Is it just your lighting (most likely) or are the edges of the cabinet pretty chewed / scratched up ?

it's the lighting, the angle and flash highlighted some standard light wear and made it look far worse than it is, and what it is is the sort that will basically disappear once the cabinet is cleaned with kotton kleanser, gojo or anything of the like.
