Phoenix, AZ Craigslist ad - Coin operated Edison Ediphone

Post by pghpete22 »

Hi folks,

Long time lurker, first time poster. Saw this on the PHX Craigslist site. It's been posted on the site several times the past few months. http://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/atq/3781755404.html. Never saw one of these before. Cheers - Pete

First of all, welcome, and thanks for posting!
It's odd that an office dictating machine would be tied in some way with a coin-op and timer mechanism. I wonder if they were really used together.
The Ediphone itself isn't very much sought-after, as far as I know.

Thanks for the welcome Barnett. Been lurking for over a year now. Not much to contribute, but learning quite a bit. I have an Amberola 30 that needs the sapphire redone, and another 30 for parts. I also have an gramophone that I picked up at a yard sale from the Gramophone Co folks in England. Had the cabinet/fabric redone, plays wonderfully. I've been focusing mainly on Caruso records and am a regular on the Nauck auctions. Thanks again.
