Screw Size for Edison Standard

Post by howardpgh »

I recently got a feedscrew cover for my model B Standard.
What size screw is used to attach it to the machine. It took me a while to figure how it went on, but when I lined it up, I found the hole for the screw.

The size is 5-40. You can get that in any good hardware store. Also, I would suggest you get a bottle of Birchwood Casey gun blue in a gun or sporting goods store. I use that to blue Edison and other screws requiring a blued finish.
