I love the  German Expressionism label on these records. That said, anyone know the recording date?  It's Smetana's Overture to the Bartered Bride  Berlin State Opera Orch.  conducted by Leo Blech. I presume it's about 1920-22. It is rather a modified success as an acoustic orchestral recording: they use string basses instead of tubas and Blech was allowed quite a dynamic range. Sadly the recording process didn't cope well with either.

Jim, I found a label like yours down in Mexico. I was told it dates from the early to mid '20's. Neat label.
