Seeking new cylinder record boxes

Post by max_phenol »

Hi,

Does anyone know where to get newly made cylinder record boxes, preferable blank ones without any label?

I found two shops on the internet who offer new boxes, but with various labels on it (Shenandoah and APSCO).

Cheers

Which kind of box are you looking for?

Do you want the later kind that has the inside diameter of the cardboard cylinder
rubbing right up against a Blue Amberol
record, with no cotton liner?

Or do you want the earlier kind of a box
that has the larger diameter cardboard, so
that it has room for the soft liner for
2 minute wax records?

I ask because they are two different diameters
of cardboard tubes.

A few of both versions would be great. Can you offer those?

All of the boxes I have are the larger diameter ones that are meant to be lined
with a soft cotton batting liner to protect
wax cylinders.

I use them for my brown wax blanks.

I have two heights of them:

The taller boxes are for my extra-length
blanks which are 4.53 inches long.

The regular standard sized boxes are the same
height as any Edison box. They are for the
standard length blanks, which are 4.25 inches
long.

I can't let any of the taller boxes go, but
I may be able to part with a few of the
shorter ones. How many are you looking for?

They are dark green, unlabeled and unlined
and they have brown paper caps, the bottom
cap was glued on at the factory.
