Hello,
I found this really nice old oak wooden box at a local junk shop. It has brass reinforced corners and a brass carrying handle. I have always wanted to try and make a travelling Phonograph Exhibitor's outfit just for fun. If I were to put on a demonstration some time it would come in handy. I placed my cased Columbia Q inside just to see how it might fit. I was thinking of using a case less Q but am open to suggestions. I was hoping that other members could post pictures of any original outfits that they might have or pictures from books so I can see how the machines and records are arranged. Also looking for a source for reproduction Exhibitor's posters. Any ideas appreciated.
Pete

Here is a video from my YouTube channel featuring one of these from my collection. It was an interesting find.

That box looks like it could be the shell of a double cylinder carrying case. I have one that looks like it. Due to the depth of the top and the bottom, it may be a cylinder case.

Hi Doug,
Thanks for showing me your video. My wooden box has the same brass corner brackets and handle as yours does. Curt can you post a picture of your wooden cylinder box.
thanks

Hi Pete;
I think creating an exhibitor's traveling showcase is a neat idea. I have a vintage piece from the late 1890s to early 1900s that has a Columbia Eagle, compartments for cylinders, a homemade horn and crane, and the reproducer. Perhaps the photos below may give you some ideas.
